Estonia’s Independence Day Week at the Estonian History Museum

This week, from 24 February to 1 March, the Estonian History Museum invites everyone to visit our museums in the Old Town and at Maarjamäe at a special price.

Single tickets cost only €6, and family tickets are €12 – a great opportunity for the whole family to explore history during the school break!

Maarjamäe Palace offers an excellent overview of the century-long journey of the Republic of Estonia. Here you can explore the permanent exhibition “My Free Country”, which takes visitors on a journey from the birth of the Estonian state to the present day through artefacts, film footage, and historical stories.

At the Film Museum you can discover the exhibition “Take One”, which reveals the secrets of filmmaking and introduces the background of film art.

It’s also worth visiting the Great Guild Hall in the Old Town, where you can learn about the history of Hanseatic merchants and see unique archaeological finds and objects that reflect medieval wealth and trade life.
